I have made many memories during my four years at Dexter High and will cherish the friends I made and the teachers that taught me. One of the things that I immensely enjoy that Dexter High tutoring. Tutoring is for students that need help on their core subjects and takes place before and after school for around 30 minutes to an hour. Dexter High strives to be one community and family; however, it is far from a community. They implemented an advisory hour last year with sport intramurals for students. Although it is an excellent idea for the school, few to no students participate in the activities due to not being sport driven. We have pep rallies for the school every once and a while, but they are not the best and are usually dull in content. In conclusion, if you want to go to school to learn, this is a decent school to attend. However, if you are looking for a community of people who are one with each other and enjoy the presence of each other, you may want to look elsewhere.

Do not put your kids through this special circle of Hell. A good majority of the teachers are decent, but there are a select few that are trash. Bullying is rampant, although not out in the open. Students are treated more as a resource than human beings. Obviously there are exceptions, and being a graduate of a few years ago, administration may have fixed these problems. However, I would not advise letting your children spend four very important years of their lives here. They and you both could do so much better.
Teachers were excellent. They offer a lot of options for college prep. Dexter (school district and some parents) puts a lot of weight on sports, but participation has decreased. Dexter has great coaches for the most part - football, wrestling, baseball, track and tennis.
Administration at the high school is okay, but it seems they look to get kids in trouble and punish them hard instead of helping.
