I liked how it is a close knit community! The teachers spend extra hours after school and before school to help the students achieve better grades and better understanding. The school is very much into athletics, I am an athlete so this helped me feel included.
What i liked about Dewitt High School is the experiences i was able to have there. I will never forget the football games and the atmosphere around those games. I also wont forget the fun classes that were offered to us students. One thing i would love to see change is the diversity in the school district as a whole. The district as a whole is primarily white. This sucks when people who are minority come in and see that its not diverse, could impact on decision of coming into school. Having a more diverse teaching staff would also be nice as well.
Dewitt High School has been very beneficial in many ways. I have learned to manage my time and take classes that will help me in my future. I wish that the teachers were more helpful and give us resources to succeed in their class. Many of the teachers are not passionate in what they teach. The safety is good, but the environment is depressing because there is not very much color or lighting because most of the teachers that have windows keep the shades closed so we cannot see outside.
