I spent 12 years at DCD and it is impossible to think of all the ways the school helped me become the person I am today. Country Day taught me more than just what you learn in class. I was constantly learning. In the classroom with teachers who genuinely cared about our well-being and success. On the field with coaches who pushed us to give our best effort. In the hallways with friends who understood just how lucky we were to be there.
Country Day did everything it set out to do for me, and I couldn't be more grateful. The demanding workload helped me understand how to not only balance studies, sports, clubs, and a social life, but thrive while doing so.
I'll always love everything about my school!

I have attended Detroit Country Day since the fifth grade, and wow! What an experience it has been. There have been a lot of ups and downs, but more ups than downs. The teachers provide constant knowledge and support, it's hard to do poorly. I've felt welcome and at home since I enrolled at DCD. I have gained and lost friends along the way, but the social and educational challenges will prepare for college with no troubles at all. I would be fibbing if I said I wouldn't miss DCD after graduation. It's been a life changing experience and I am forever thankful to have attended.
Great experience and all around great people. The teachers are there to learn and educate the students, none of them are just working for the paycheck. The curriculum is very challenging and engaging. There are a variety of honors classes so the smart kids are always engaged and challenged. The students are friendly and accepting. I feel like I am at home with my Country Day friends. They are inviting and they make you want to go to school. If you like a hard challenge than DCDS is right for you, if not then I would stay away because it is not and will not ever be easy. Overall I love my time at Country Day and I am looking forward to the education paying off when I am in college and when I am on my own in the real world.
