I’ve been going there since the 9th grade. I am now going to the 12th grade. It is not great. We cannot have our phones at all and at the end of the day, all grades 9-12th have to bunch up together in whatever they feel like is a line just to get our phones. Most of the time there is only 2 people passing out the phones but it takes a very long time to get to each and every kid from each grade. A lot of times I was late getting on my bus. The school is very unorganized and low on funds. The school lunches are bad with barely any variety.

The only few things I like about school were playing sports and music. interacting with many of the great teachers that were there. The students not so great but you know, "kids are evil."
From my experience at Detroit Community has been a very great but terrible experience. Academic wise it was better my first two years, last two have been terrible. We had very stable, smart, and understanding teachers. they would work with you as much as needed. junior year was very hard for me i didn't have teachers to properly prep me for the SAT.
