Design and Architecture senior high is the second best school in Florida. They have great class opportunities, academically the school is great but what I would like to change is the structure of the school. DASH is a very old school and it's very small because it was a mall before it was turned into a school, I would like if DASH was bigger. They've been trying to rebuild the school but I think because of financial issues they can't. It is a art school so they have strands like architecture, industrial design, graphics, fashion, and film so we have no sports but we have great clubs. The teachers make sure you're prepared for college, every year gets harder and harder but it does help to keep up with work load and shows us how to be more independent. Overall, other than the buildings it's really an amazing school filled with opportunities.

If you want to go to an art college for a chance for more scholarship money, this is for you. However, if you don't, you are wasting your time. The academics are poor, students interested in academics are mostly self taught in order to pass their AP tests. The administration is rude, and doesn't listen to student body unless you bring your parent in to complain. Although on the bright side the environment causes students to propel themselves further in the art world with their competitive peers. Sometimes the environment can backfire though because the student teacher, and student to student relationship is very harsh and unfriendly from all the competition. There are many opportunities to succeed compared to a normal high school, but the school sees you as a potential investment, not a young artist looking for a higher education.
The crazy workload really prepares you. Some of the teachers are REALLY good. Besides the food events, they are the reason I gave the school 4 stars. Some of the teacher dont really teach. The art classes are good. Youll have to pay art fees but they give you some art supplies. There are no school nurses and if the building remains how it is the place isnt very safe and clean. There are moldy leaky ceiling tiles. I was sitting in the middle of class and one of the titles next to me fell.
You get almost little to no time with clubs so its almost like there are only a few that exist. Strand clubs, mainly the fashion one, and GSA that really tries to hold meeting even if they ran out off stuff to talk about or do. I always heard how there is no bullying(and other stufc) and its easy to make friends but that stuff is a lie unless you are a super outgoing person. People are generally nice in the school or at least fake to be though.
