I attended this school for our year and i was there for one year while it was still named Gordon Tech. The school still has much improvement to make however they are slowly rising in academics. I was in the IB program which let me get a semester ahead of school. However after the name change, the school spirit went down alot and they do not allow much school spirit during spirit weeks. The only main sports that get real attention is basketball and football and baseball which was bad since I played volleyball. Those sports constantly get new gear while other sports rarely get new gear or equipment.

DePaul was a fine highschool. I originally was enrolled in Gordon Tech but the name was changed when I entered my Junior year. I did not enjoy the drastic changes that occured after the name change. Our entired gym was remodeled, we could no longer sing our GT Fight Song. The staff was ok too. There are definitely some favorites amogst the school and the staff seemed to go along with it. I was one of the very few students of color so there were many experiences, both good and bad, that went along with that.
I shadowed here one day. It was OK. Not very good not very bad. The school itself isn't very big and capacious. It doesn't have all the modern things that other school have. The teachers aren't really that good. They dont give engaging lessons to their students. The lunch is pretty good, but it could be better. My shadow was pretty friendly. He asked me question and made sure I didnt get lost. Most of the classes were really boring. I mean, I was shadowing a senior student. The school needs more funds. I actually really liked Spanish Class. There is a lot of diversity though, you can't disagree with that. The school needs to have more innovative things throughout its building. Its an OK school, but if you're looking for a truly great education and great college preparation, I would recommend St.Ignatius, Fenwick, or Loyola.
