Depaul Catholic HS was a safe place to go. I always felt like there was a place for me in one of the groups that they had. They have a very diverse student population and host international students, which is a really awesome experience for both parties! I really enjoyed my time there. They mandate laptop usage which makes the students more prepared for college and the consistent usage of computers there.
This private Catholic high school in Northern New Jersey appears fine from the outside. In fact, it is. It offers IT equipment to its all students so that everyone has an in-class laptop to enhance their class experience. The school attempts to provide a balanced time management for its students so that freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are assigned lunch time and physical education at different times. However, there are two things that the school needs to improve as soon as possible: 1) the school facility is too small compared to its student body, and 2) the school's cafeteria does not provide a healthy, balanced diet to students. Considering that this is a high school, these two are urgent.
Overall, I have had a great experience at DePaul. Of course, some things could have been better, but that is typical with any high school. Depending on the classes you take, the teachers are very good and the coursework is challenging, but not so much that it is overwhelming. It is challenging enough that it prepares you for the next step. Sports are very big at the school, which is nice for athletes, but I wish the fine and performing arts program was a little larger. The student body is very diverse, which I loved because you were able to meet so many different people from different places and backgrounds. I have been able to make so many great friends at this school, and I have made many lasting memories. The guidance office is also outstanding, and I can safely say that I am prepared for college thanks to them and the school in general.
