Denver Waldorf School Reviews

Everyone is working hard and loves the children. Community is strong (although somewhat insular.) Some of the most caring, effective teachers I have ever encountered. Also some of the least experienced, ineffective teachers I've ever seen allowed to have a job at a school. Arts curriculum strong--visual arts, music, handwork. Excellent ECE program. Would not send my children to the HS. Not sure we will keep attending into upper grades. Behind the times on Sp Ed or LD kids. What actually is Waldorf Education? I'm not sure they know.... Fundraising relentless and impersonal. Communication from administration can be manipulative--like someone is trying to put a spin on it to affect my behavior. The leadership seems green at best. Seems like there are just some things that should be in place when it comes to running a school. Like being able to tell prospective parents what it is that makes your school unique, and to dress professionally when doing it!

At the Denver Waldorf School, you are given an unforgettable experience. A deep connection to the teachers allows the student to complete their education to the best of their abilities. Each class is taught to give the student knowledge, not information to memorize until the finals are over.
In my class, the majority of us have been together since 1st grade. Now as seniors, we have welcomed many new students. The high school as a whole is very diverse, yet connected to one another.
I wouldn't change my education for anything. The Denver Waldorf School has made me who I am today.
For me, going to Denver Waldorf high school was a choice I made because I felt comfortable remaining in a familiar environment. This familiarity and closeness is what makes DWS excel, while this same smallness is also its Achilles heel - the social life and class options are limited.
