I have attended DCIS at Montbello since 2011, its grand opening! Throughout the years I have seen DCIS grow not only as a school but as a community. Students don't go to school as if it were an obligatory but they go for the environment that it is brought to them allowing to pursue a higher education with a passion in the future. Students, such as I love the environment, the diversity, and the faculty. I love how my teachers not only are excellent educators but they support me and want what's best for me. Also, they add to the curriculum and teach me how to take my knowledge into growing up and into standing up for myself. However, a thing I would like to see more often is having more clubs and field trips.

What I like about the Denver Center for International Studies is the whole community. We all help each other when needed and we're always supported by our teachers. They help us whenever we need it and make sure we understand what we are learning. The teachers here at this school will go an extra mile for you, will always back you up, and stay as long as you need to understand the material. The staff will support you and help you towards graduation, they will tell you everything you need and help you with anything. The staff is always friendly and will always be glad to guide you where ever you need.
DCIS is a good school but can be better. I have been a student for 4 years and will graduate in May 2020. I like the a lot of the teachers. At the school we could have more electives and variety of classes to take. We need more options They are really dedicated and want the students to succeed. The sports at the school are not good. All the schools in our area play under the Far-northeast Warriors and their is not a lot of structure in the program. I think we have good administrators we are trying to change the school to make it better for everyone. Our school is mostly Hispanics. I am a black student who sometimes feels like the school is carted to one set of students. I like the school overall but some things can be done better.
