The reason my family & I value, believe in, & benefit from DA is trust.
I trust the leadership & teachers. They're educated, experienced, observant, willing to listen, well informed, considerate, & fair, enabling them to make timely (but not hasty) decisions to the benefit of the DA community. Small class size gives them the opportunity to connect with each student, with focus on helping students find, develop, & present their best selves.
I trust the students. Each faces a learning challenge, so no-one is ostracized for this. They accept each other as eclectic & expressive individuals.
I trust the maintenance team. They are on top of things, always willing to help, keeping DA running smoothly & safely.
I trust the system. DA balances helping students find tools & processes to use to improve in their area of challenge with encouraging students to find their bliss & feed their passion in areas in which they thrive. The DA way leads to the development of well-rounded young adults.

My experience was ok and for 30,000 dollars that is not ok. The academics at this school are pretty bad. I was in all honors classes and my work as a freshman was easier then my 7th grade public school work. That really says something. It is all busy work and a lot of it! You still have a ton of work that makes no sense and has no importance. The whole vibe of the school is off socially. No one seems to have really good friends but somehow it is very cliquey. The teachers are nice but never know what is going on. There is soooo much alcohol and drug use. The campus is beautiful so that is a positive. Sports are fun but all the teams are fun. There are no student clubs that’s re actually worth while. Overall save your money!
I have learned a lot at Denver Academy. It has really helped me develop a love of learning because the teachers have been awesome! When I came to DA, I was unsure about my abilities but through the dedicated teachers, I was able to develop the confidence I needed to thrive.
