I loved DY! Mostly the faculty, all the teachers, staff and administrators were very kind and always willing to help and give an ear to your voice. What I would change is the awareness of clubs and organizations. I believe clubs help prepare students for the real work and keeps them involved in school and out of school. I am now a college student and I am involved in 4 clubs, the president of 1 and the vice president of the rest and I love it! I am ready to take on more responsibility now that I am in college in high school I wasn't aware therefore the confidence I have now is built from my club involvement.

1. Some teachers aren't horrible and you can form personal relationships to help you learn. Many teachers show little respect or kindness for the wellbeing of students, especially to those who are physically or mentally disabled.
2. Going off of my first point, this school offers NOTHING for students with disabilities. While there is a Special Education Department, they do little to actually help the student acclimate to an ableist system.
DY excels academically while also providing students with ample opportunities to explore their interests. DY has award winning art programs, theater programs, and many of its sports teams make it to championships.
