My child was a student in the Resource classes at Denham Springs Junior High. She was very well taken care of and was treated as well as any other student in the school. She followed the same curriculum as the regular education students, just on her level. The teachers there all made sure that she never felt that she was less than any other student. Can't recommend this school enough!
DSJH is a like a second family to me. I do not know what I would do without the love and support I receive daily from the yellow jacket gang. We all look out for one another (students, teachers, staff, etc.)
DSJH is also very with the times. We have an awesome app that helps keep you in the know. We have so many opportunities for students and teachers to stay involved.
I do not know what I would do without these people!

Denham Springs Junior High has a lot going for it and much to offer. They offer tutoring in the core subjects each morning and last night (November 16) they hosted a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering And Math) which brought in several professionals in fields varying from meteorologist to mortician. Theya also strive to include parents in almost every aspect of their students; education. I know that they have also provided clothing, booksacks, and school supplies to needy students, as well as providing Christmas for some. Overall, this is a great school that cares about the needs of their students.
