Denbigh Baptist Christian School Reviews
Rating 3.56 out of 5 9 reviews
This school is a bubble and lacks diversity. Nearly everyone is white, conservative, straight, and Christian. This leads to people being overwhelmed when they go into the real world. The extracurriculars are limited to sports with a few outliers. Nepotism is obvious, discipline doesn't really exist, parents can practically get whatever they want if they complain enough, and the curriculum is diluted. The school tends to indoctrinate kids politically, the teachers can either be great or not at all.
I graduated From Denbigh Baptist Christian School in May of 2019, I attended DBCS my entire academic career (K5-12). Although there are some areas that could be improved upon primarily sports, I know from experience because from freshman to senior year, I played soccer, basketball, and baseball and enjoyed almost every second of it. I can say that the class sizes are very small and personal where every teach gets to know you on a personal level, they are very accessible and truly care about your success in their class.
I enjoyed the small class sizes and individualized attention. The teachers were great, especially Mrs. Marshall and Mr. Cass. You are able to take some dual enrollment classes for math, too! Students will attend chapel 1-2 times per week.
Denbigh Baptist Christian School is a great place to send your children, it is safe, the staff and administration are very approachable and there are great teachers here. I have been at Denbigh Baptist all of my life and from my experience here I have been able to make a close connection between the teachers and myself, we are able to talk to one another and have close relationships with everyone. The school is a little small right now but but with a small school everyone knows everyone and it seems like you become part of a second family for life.
Great education, great atmosphere, biblical foundation. We recommend DBCS to all our family and friends. We're proud to have multiple generations attending. Though a relatively small school, even the extra curricular activities have given my children the chance to experience esprit to corps and teamwork. I couldn't be happier.
The students, teachers and parents are very supportive.
The soccer team is the best...state final four
It's like most other schools except smaller. There are still people who like to bully or pick on kids. You just have to be yourself no matter what school you go to and everything will work itself out. I would probably choose this school over again because I like the small atmosphere.
