I have enjoyed the many opportunities this school has to offer. I have had so much fun being part of the performing arts department and participating in the school’s many plays. The school also offers a 2 week period in January called J-Term where we select a specific course that teaches us new skills and helps us grow closer in our relationship with Christ. Some courses are missions trips overseas, while others are fun extracurricular activities at home. I participated in the Short Film J-Term for 3 out of my 4 years. During this course I learned the many techniques and requirements to making and acting in a film, from camera angles to lighting. Each year we would choose a different genre or theme to depict in our film, and each film would teach a biblical moral in some form. The J-Term experience has easily been one of my favorite parts of my attendance at Delmarva Christian High School, and I have been proud to be a student of a school with such opportunities.

A Christ-centred school that lives up to its mission to "prepare students spiritually, academically, and physically, to know and do God's Will in their lives'". I attended DCHS all four years and graduated Salutatorian out of a class of 42, but don't let the small class size discourage you—this school has intimate lessons built for students who want to learn! And believe me, the school lives up to its academic profile by thoroughly preparing teens for college.
Delmarva Christian High School was actually a great experience for me the more I think about it. It was profoundly a college prep school and now that I am in college I have realized that Delmarva prepared me very well for this new experience. The academics were astound and the teachers and staff were very involved in our lives and cared about the students. Many of our sports were successful in their seasons as well; I would love to see some of the teams go farther in the state championships. I would also like to see our school grow in the number of students in the near future! I think the more the student body grows, the more successful our school will be.
