Del Valle high school is a great school! Throughoyt my years in school they have done a lot of stuff to make our community a safer, creative, enjoyable, and supportive environment . We have great opportunities to take advantage. At our school there is Ap & OnRamps classes. I believe this is something everyone should try to be involve with to get head start. Get to experience college before college. I am part of the Austin Community College Phlebotomy Technician because thanks to DVHS. They make sure they cover every cost for the requirements needed. This opportunity is great start for my career goal. We have a facility to be able to put in extra work when there is a bad weather. I am proud to be a cardinal.

I loved the environment at Del Valle High School, I would get along with everyone like staff and administrators! Especially my teachers, they were so fun and caring. There’s not much that I think would need a change since I’ve graduated, there’s been many upgrades to everything inside the school and it’s academics.
This school has an impressive selection of amenities. Of the facilities available in the Career & Technology Center, I only used the computers and light tables for animation & multimedia work; however, the medical classrooms are impressive and advanced. I have had mainly pleasant experiences with teachers here, but it is worth noting here that I took mainly advanced courses. The teachers generally succeed more in spite of the school than because of it. The most painful part of this school is the administration—not only local school admin but also district officials. It is excruciating to watch teachers struggle through the tangle of bureaucracy and micromanaging, out-of-touch policies, all while more and more responsibilities are put on their backs for no additional pay. The admin also interrupts class time with tests and assemblies much too readily. In short, DVHS suffers from an all-too-common problem: those at the top seem to completely lack experience in the fields they govern.
