The overall experience at DNHS is excellent. There are varieties of clubs and activities to do after school. Everyone is involved in sports and if you aren’t there are different opportunities to get involved. The staff and teachers are friendly. They try to help you succeed. Overall it is a good experience.

Overall, most of the teachers are amazing. But a few of them lack some skills that are a necessity for teaching, which brings the school down. Teaching styles should be changed for some classes. For example, a teacher should make sure all of the class gets the information they are receiving. Some teachers here find it hard to make sure everyone has it. Del Norte High School rushes through a lot of the subjects, which makes it hard to learn anything. They have to follow the plan that the state gives them, but then they rush too much that more than half of the students don't get it. Which is not going to prepare them for college in anyway.
The teachers at Del Norte High School, are very well educated and well-experienced teachers. They care about their students and are almost always willing to put in extra time with students. We use computers in almost every classroom, and most teachers are able to keep students interest throughout the class hour. Grading is always consistent and preliminary eligibility and eligibility reports are posted the same day every week and teachers grading scales do not change throughout year.
