One of the aspects of Dekalb Highschool that I liked the most was the amount of diversity among the student body. Faculty and Staff spend a lot of time out of the school day to keep everyone motivated in school. The College Room, library, and student services are always readily available to everyone when it pertains to scholarships and colleges. A couple of aspects of Dekalb Highschool that could be improved upon is diversity within its staff. Students can benefit from having a wide range of teachers from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
But in all, I feel that my education at Dekalb Highschool has prepared me for the next step at a 4-year university.

Dekalb High School features a modern, diverse campus with a consistently under trained administration staff and teachers with a variety of instruction techniques. The sports and activities here are normally strong groups of motivated students and adult leaders. The food here is average only because you cant expect much from a school lunch, however if it was served to you at a restaurant, you would surely send it back. The best thing about DHS is the diversity of the student body and the tact of the majority of the teachers there. The most disappointing thing is seeing the schools bureaucracy allow unfit candidates occupy important positions. When the school does not have strong, moral figures at its forefront, it decreases both staff and student morale on a daily basis. The ideal environment for a high school would be a supportive and positive one.
My experience at DeKalb High School was good, the teachers were very helpful and kind to me. I liked how DeKalb High School prepared me for life after High School. I liked how they noticed kids approvement academically wise, and Authorities would be very understanding at times. I would like to see the threats change towards our school. Threats were a huge issue at DeKalb High School, no matter if it was on social media, from a person mouth, or how students would sometimes interact with each other physically or emotionally.
