I loved being apart of this community! There was multiple chances for individuals to get involved in different activities such as sports, NHS, DECCA, college credit plus, and music.
Defiance High School was a great place to grow as a person, with new experiences and events around every corner. There was always something to do to keep busy in day to day life, and the people here are kind enough and ready to devote any time necessary to see one another improve. Throughout my life here, I have watched the school change, literally, from one building to another, with all facilities improving to the technologically best in any surrounding areas. We pride ourselves in our academics and sporting programs, and have been successful numerous times in recent years within all sporting classes. There isn’t any other place I would have chosen to be called my home.
I love Defiance because of the amount of opportunities they present, especially for a small, midwestern school. Both teachers and counselors are always reaching out to students and presenting different employment, academic, and extra curricular opportunities. They have also implemented different strategies that obtain a positive school culture and have been successful.
