Amazing! Amazing faculty, yet marginal inflation of grades. The students are ready to work, teachers are excited to teach, and faculty is ready to monitor! The students are eager to acquire information and and take part in the community. The school is not as diverse as it should be, but it is very welcoming. A high end, lovely school that prepares students for college and readies kids for future circumstances.

A very good high school all around. Relatively new, very large and impressive building with tons of windows, but not too large either. There's a bathroom and water fountain around almost every corner. There are a lot of clubs you can chose from too, like the robotics club, computer club, interact club, book club, debate club, etc. Bullying and teasing is surprisingly rare, at least from my experience. The diversity could be better though. Most of the student body is white. The CIT is great if you're interested in technology and computers, though it does get tough in the later years. Most of the teachers are great. We also get one lunch, which is an hour long lunch that everyone has at the same time. You're allowed to go pretty much anywhere you want, which is really helpful if you need to see a teacher for something. Lunches are pretty good for school lunches, especially our world famous chicken. Overall a great high school with a easy-going community and good academics.
Deep Run is overall a well-to-do school. However, there are some hiccups when it comes to the social and diversity construct. The majority of the social feeling from the students, as well as faculty, can be condescending. Many times, there are teachers and students a-like talking down to those they believe are below them. This also follows up with a lack of diversity. Over 90% of the school is caucasian, and many like to make that known. Besides those two negatives, the school STEM program is marvelous. Given the fact that the charter program is for STEM, I'd expect nothing less. The teachers that have to do with STEM, are impeccable and very hands-on. Those teachers will help students in the STEM field for the future.
