This school used to be really small but it’s still pretty small for the average high school. Everyone is really close and there is no bullying in my hallway. Since the school is so small it is at a lack for teachers therefore it doesn’t have many classes. There are no clubs so that means no extracurriculars. It’s hard to get an honors diploma here because there aren’t honors classes, they just put you in a math class with students in the next grade up. Although DTSE has some flaws I love it because we aren’t like other high schools. We are close knit, our phrase is “We are Crew not passengers!” Meaning we are like the crew on a ship, working together to get to our destination, rather than the passengers that rarely talk to each other and never see each other again.

After freshly graduating from this Township, I have come to learn a few things. 1) The administration has perfected the art of "looking busy." It's very rare to walk into the office of an admin and them be working on something urgent and beneficial to the school/township. 2) As soon as the 4:00 bell rings, the entire front office leaves the school and goes home, not giving much help if any to the people who need it. 3) We were blessed with the money to build a few helpful million dollar buildings that accelerated the growth of programs, including those who competed nationally.
The teachers are always willing to help with academic scheduling and workload management. However due to funding, we have a central part of expeditionary learning such as field work; but the resourcefulness of the staff has made up for that by offering many options to many problems and expanding our horizons.
