De Soto is a very welcoming school. When I had trouble with a class, I am able to get assistance from a teacher or other students in a club designed for tutoring those that needed it. I’m also able to join lots of clubs and sports throughout the year that I got help from. DHS is a great school if you're looking at going to college. There are classes and counselors designed for helping one prepare and apply to colleges.
Communication can always be improved. This pass year, we got multiple televisions all around the school, but when students are trying to get to class, it can be very time-consuming waiting for each announcement to be shown. Overall, it is an understatement to say that De Soto High School is a great school.

De Soto High School gives plenty of opportunities to not only be active in school and your community, but also to interact with new individuals who will wholeheartedly join you to create the best environment and experience. You'll find that there is a place for you in every study and group, and find people who have the same devotion and love you have for the activity.
De Soto High School offers a unique combination of a growing 5A school, with the feel of a much smaller "hometown" atmosphere. Centered in De Soto, Kansas, which boasts a population of approximately 6,000 people, the school is large enough to be significant, however still small enough to support a community feel. The school itself entails high academic achievement with support of multiple areas of student interests in clubs and athletics. The faculty and students are generally friendly, pleasant, and motivated. Overall, a wonderful high school to attend.
