DaySpring Academy Reviews

DaySpring allows parents more involvement in their child's education than a traditional school because students are learning at home 2 or 3 days per week. I value being able to tailor learning experiences and adding activities based upon my child's interests and needs. For example, if I'm seeing my daughter needs more help with a math concept, I can find more activities to reinforce it. Even as the class assignments move on, we have enough at home to ensure she completely understands it and continue with the assignments. I also enjoy adding field trips. For example, if we're studying the planets, we have enough flexibility and time to visit the science center's planetarium.

The teachers are extremely supportive and encouraging. They greet students at the door. The classes are small enough that teachers know the students well. Teachers are extremely responsive by email and person. DaySpring is an all-around supportive and safe environment for student curiosity and achievement.

I have been a part of Dayspring for 26 years; I have 3 children who graduated from the school and 2 grandchildren who currently attend. The community and creative education grabbed me in the beginning and are the reasons I stayed. I started as a parent who volunteered then taught part time and then became a full time teacher. DaySpring Academy is a place where teachers are free to really teach and engage students and students are free to be themselves and embrace their individuality.
