My child is a senior year having attended Davison schools since (8th grade) and we have been very happy overall!
The good: The teachers are very good at their jobs, and really care for the students. We have never been disappointed in a teacher or the rigor of the classes she has attended.
The bad: I fear the school is moving toward being a 'sports school'. That is, academics may start to take a back seat to football, soccer, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, etc.
The ugly: The facilities are quite run down (except the football stadium). Grounds projects seem to be mishandled (even bungled).

As a student at Davison High School, I like that the teachers strive to see success in their students. I enjoy the challenging classes available and the college readiness courses. The student body is full of pride for our cardinal sports and we strive academically, as well as, athletically. A minor dislike of mine includes the shortened summer break due to our new 'balanced' calendar. Although only shortened by three weeks, I still enjoy summer weather and the much needed rest from the classroom. Overall, Davison High School excels past neighboring school districts in many ways. Our tests scores are consistently higher and we work hard to be the best school possible; we truly are Davison Made and proud.
My experience at Davison High School has been pleasant, however there are certain aspects that should be modified or changed in these community schools. Our academics are one of the best in our county, which we take pride in. It really shows in the classroom the potential of each and every student. The diversity in our school is impressive. No one person is left out for their gender, identity, race, religion, etc. One notices the effect our teachers have on us when they walk through the school. There are always a few bad apples, but for the most part, our teachers love and respect us, and only want what is for the best for us. They always are helping us to grow and succeed in any way they can. Davison High School lacks a number of clubs and activities that everyone can join, however our athletics are very impressive. Most all of our sports succeed, if not win.
