My child is a senior year having attended Davison schools since (8th grade) and we have been very happy overall!
The good: The teachers are very good at their jobs, and really care for the students. We have never been disappointed in a teacher or the rigor of the classes she has attended.
The bad: I fear the school is moving toward being a 'sports school'. That is, academics may start to take a back seat to football, soccer, tennis, volleyball, wrestling, etc.
The ugly: The facilities are quite run down (except the football stadium). Grounds projects seem to be mishandled (even bungled).

I transferred to Davison High School during the second semester of my freshman year. I can honestly say it was one of the greatest decisions I had ever made. Davison is an extremely loving and supportive community. I was involved in honors and AP classes, which had great instructors and content, and really pushed me to become a better student. I was also an athlete, and while most communities seem to have a bias against their athletes, everyone was very supportive. Everyone at the school is friends with everyone. The jocks will hang out with the honors kids, the art students are friends with the mechanics students. Davison Is very concerned about their student's success, not only in the classroom, but in life as well. I cannot thank everyone enough for all of the help they've given me to help me grow so much.
Davison High School is pretty awful honestly, there isn't anything special about it. The school building is old, the administrators are deaf to every single thing their students are saying and it's overall a pretty bad experience. They have the makings of a fantastic arts program, performing and visual arts, but refuse to give them adequate funding and the auditorium is over thirty years old and was built backwards. Did I mention that it's filled with asbestos? The only saving grace are the teachers, a good portion of them care about their jobs and their students.
