Davis School For Independent Study Reviews

I transferred to DSIS in the fall of my senior year. I was on track academically, and had more than enough credits for graduating at my high school, but I was itching to spend more time at the park and in the library than in a classroom. When I came to 'class' on Wednesday, my only job was to turn in my independent discoveries of the recommended learning material, and receive new assignments. My teacher while I went to school there was Christine Easton, and she was a very welcoming and supportive mentor. While I was there, she encouraged me to learn all I could, and not get stressed out about the grade of others views of my work. She especially encouraged my hard work in English, a subject I've always loved, and even presented challenges to me where I had the opportunity to test myself. The style of attendance is similar to college, and I'm thankful that I had the opportunity to go to DSIS.

Amazing school for children who need more personalized help. Attending DSIS will prepare you better for college giving you work one week at a time. More similar to a college than an average day of high school.
