In my opinion it is the best school to go to. It is small and everybody knows everybody. The classes are small and the teachers are in touch with the students as much as they can be. The atmosphere is great and you can tell that the teachers care about each student. I really enjoyed my time here as a student. I have gone here all my life and am going to miss it. I never had a teacher that I hated, just some that I did not like and part of that was the subject that they were teaching. This would be a great school to go to if you are looking for a rural area and a small school.
There are a lot of things that could be different. Since it's a small community a lot of issues aren't addressed as they should. Our school has had big issues with discrimination towards all genders, races, and sexuality. Many students don't feel safe due to the lack of protection. The faculty doesn't care about the students and don't prepare them for their future. You can easily cheat your way through classes and not have to actually do any work. Also, you don't learn anything about applying for colleges or scholarships-- really nothing about future education.
Davis County High School does it's best with the resources it has. However it has a lack of good teachers most of them are really just there for whatever sport they're coaching. The sports are also prioritized over education. When given funding the school always chooses to build or buy new equipment for various teams. This wouldn't be such a problem but this funding often has better things it could and should be used for to help the education of students.
