Davidson Day School's faculty of highly educated, experienced, dedicated and compassionate individuals is apparent in the high-quality and high-caliber students that it graduates each year. The list of colleges, universities and academies that the graduates are accepted to each year is impressive! The opportunities for real-world learning and experience is unmatched.
We used to send our child to Woodlawn, but have had a better experience at Davidson Day in absolutely every way. It was the best decision we have ever made with regards to our child’s education. Davidson Day offers wonderful electives. The administration is responsive and supportive. There are plenty of activities, and a terrific sense of community.
There will be no more competitive sports, so if you are looking for the whole package this is not the school for you. If you are looking for small class size and everybody plays theory, then this is the place for you. We have been here for 7 years and it has been everything we wanted, until now! We have been blessed by such amazing support from coaches, teachers, and staff. However having 4 headmasters in 4 years has been problematic and the school is suffering from lack of leadership. If you like an elitist who runs the school and is wealthy this is a perfect fit for you. Basically, money talks...The headmaster and his wife are a team even though his wife doesn't work there she certainly scolded the room and spoke down to the parents for questioning their intentions. Very angry and disrespectful. Kids are leaving midway through the year at the present moment due to the hostile environment they have created.
