What I liked about David Thibodaux was the fact that I felt safe and the bullying isn't too bad. Also it is very clean; the cleanest school I've ever been to actually. And there are different pathways and you can decide which one fits your future career best once you get into high school! It may seem intimidating at first because a lot of people think that only the smartest and nerdiest people are qualified to go there but while that is true, it is false at the same time. For one, you have to get on the waiting list to get in but if you are allowed in then you should feel special. But David Thibodaux gives opportunities to all different kinds of people and once you are in, I guarantee you will enjoy the experience way of learning and the clubs and sports that are there.
In nearly six years of attendance, I've found that David Thibodaux has an immensely dedicated staff, any and all of my teachers made the effort to make sure we understood the curriculum and weren't struggling to keep up good grades. Throughout my middle and high school years
I found myself looking forward to many classes, even for subjects I typically have trouble with, as nany of my teachers asked for student input throughout our lessons and encouraged engagement. That said, they didn't always have the best materials. Despite being a technological school many classes lack proper equipment and resources, whereas communication between staff could be uninformative or lacking at best, teachers do their best to communicate with students but often don't recieve much information themselves. Such is the case for class time, after school activities, and clubs. Despite that, my experience has been mostly positive, though there would be great benefits to a change in communication.

David Thibodaux is an excellent school that prepares you for life beyond high school. Wether you are planning on going to college, trade school, military or straight into the workforce, David Thibodaux has programs to help you. The faculty is also more than willing to help a child not only reach but exceed their expectations. During my 4 years at DTSMA I have become more prepared for college and to begin my career than I ever thought was possible and would highly recommend this school to incoming students.
