Dartmouth High School Reviews
Rating 3.73 out of 5 206 reviews
Dartmouth High School has been an opportunity for me to build a family; a family of friendships. In the last three years I have bonded with a group of 8 girls who I am proud to call my best friends. It is because of the extensive activity options and over-emphasis on student-based participation that I collected my unblood-family members through sports including track, volleyball, and tennis and also clubs such as the Women's Empowerment Club and Political Science Club. The best part of high school for me has been finding my people, but that doesn't mean my experience has been picture perfect. I have found it difficult to connect with periods outside of my own little bubble. Because there are so many activity options many students are stretched thin and offered little interaction with peers in the classroom and throughout the actual school day.
Great teachers, athletic programs, clubs and student life! I have enjoyed the vast variety of course options along with the resources provided by the school. There are many faculty members with all sorts of experience in different fields from Horticulture to Psychology!
Dartmouth is a really community based school when looking at the students and teachers. My senior class is very close knit and I think that has greatly improved my highschool experience. I feel that although some teachers can definitely chose favorites, overall most seek to create personal relationships with the students. Through my four years though it is apparently clear that administration does not always have the students in their best interest as they say they do. A lot of their aid, especially in light of the pandemic is extremely performative and sounds good on paper but they never fully follow through with the extent of their plans. Overall a very welcoming school and a good place to grow as a person.
