DJMS is a great school and it has been for a long time now. Middle school is a tough time for most students. I would challenge anyone to find a better middle school in the area. Some people think there are utopia perfect public middle schools out there. The school is a little overcrowded due to the growth. But, that is a testament to the administration, teachers and staff at the school that everyone wants to go there. Niche.com ranks DJMS in the top 5% of all middle schools in the U.S. That is enough for me! We've had no problems. My kid loves this school. Good job DJ!!!

Danny Jones is a wonderful school to attend, from the teachers to the counselers and coaches the teaching level is high. The English teachers have left a lasting impact on my life and the lives of my peers due to not just the lessons we learned in class, but the topics they taught us about life. Various other teachers helped me discover who I wanted to be, and those teachers helped show me what type of person I wanted to be and what type of person I was. Taking Pre- AP classes also helped in my journey through out this school. There are also various activities that a student can participate in, wether it is in athletics, band, choir, step, or even UIL. Becoming involved in this school is also a great way to make friends. Overall Danny Jones is a wonderful school that I would advise upcoming students to attend.
It's sad that in such a great neighborhood that this school is known as the two years you just have to "get through" The poor leadership that has stayed in this school for many years is appalling. The principal and long time AP are rude and only care about test scores and not the students. They are anything but professional. This school only looks good on paper because of the great neighborhoods and hard work of families.
