My experience at Dan River was great. We are one of the smaller school in the district but we made everything worth what we had. In every sport we competed and tried to win every game. I played baseball and every single year we try to improve our win and loose record. The classes are not too hard but they give you a little struggle to help you in the long run. All of the teachers are willing to help anyone if they need extra help, almost all of them will stay after school to help students if needed. Our principles set high standards for us and helps us to exceed them.
Review Dan River High School
The safety precautions border on average-severely lacking, and most students and faculty seem to be surprised if there is ever a random security breach. Drug dog searches are always announced beforehand and do not last for very long, and any other issue is addressed mainly through a brief explanation rather than a physical demonstration. Many students have made the area unsafe and have been dealt with in a minimalist way.
The athletic teams at DRHS are really one big family. Student involvement, fan support, school spirit, athletic facilities, and fitness programs are average. However, the team performances are great! They have a high level of sportsmanship and seriousness for their academics.
