From watching High School Musical, people tend to think high school will be all fun and games. They imagine being able to do what they please. As a senior in high school I can say I enjoyed the experience but the school itself needs adjusting. Being around your peers makes you want to be in school. You'll be up bright and early ready to learns as if this is an everyday job. In which in some ways, you can consider getting an education a full time job. However, Dallas County's scenery is depressing. They lack the fun and motivation to make kids want to pursue coming everyday. They give us the bare minimum. In addition to that, I think high school itself is a scam. Their favorite motto is "We're preparing you for the real world!" When in reality to they preparing us for college. They don't inform us on how to properly do resumes, how to build credit, how to finance loans, and many more things as upcoming adults should know. They do such a horrible job preparing us for the "real world".
I like a few things about Dallas County High School like, the teachers for one. The teachers at Dallas County teaches you a lot about life and what you would go through and all the changes that you will have to make or learn for yourself. I also learned that life is not always easy, because at first I thought high school would be a breeze, but until I got in my 11th grade math class I see that nothing is easy if you don’t but your mind to it. Some other things are I like the different clubs we have, like band, Honor Society, Beta, FBLA(Future Business Leaders of America),and etc. I participated in all of those, because I love to meet new people and get to visit different colleges and places. I also like the diversity at Dallas County it’s great we all work together to make sure no one is left behind. What I would like to change about Dallas County is definitely the food. We need to have variety of foods that we can choose from like a buffet.
Some of the things i liked about Dallas County High School was all the teachers that taught me never gave up on me. When it came to the teachers doing their job they did an amazing job at doing that. If an student grades were low it was because of the student because the teachers were very helpful. I also liked the way that the schedule was set up. the timing was just about s perfect. When your grade was getting low the teachers would give you plenty of ways that you can pull your grade up. Some of the things that i will fix is how they punish the entire school for other kids actions which was very unfair. There is not plenty of things that i would change but, other may think different.
