Dakota Ridge Senior High is a very friendly and inclusive school with many classes and club options for every student. While we don't have the most successful sports teams, we offer many sports and after school activities for just about everyone. Dakota Ridge does a great job of including everyone, including feeder schools such as elementary and middle schools, in their community and having many parent nights, movie nights, fun runs, and other activities that the whole community could enjoy. One thing that I would change about Dakota is the food. While it isn't terrible, I think the school would excel with healthier, more meal options for the kids and provide more quality food. Overall, my experience at Dakota Ridge Senior High School has been very pleasing and I would definitely recommend sending your children to this high school.

I have absolutely loved Dakota ridge! Throughout the years, I’ve learned extreme amounts of knowledge and skills that I will use throughout my life. I played golf as well which was extremely useful in learning who I am as an individual and progressing throughout the years.
Dakota Ridge High School is an excellent environment for students of all cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds; Anyone can feel welcome here between its open-minded student body and clubs celebrating diversity. Its dedication to college preparedness, such as the mandatory PSAT tests and implementation of PSAT-style practice questions into classwork, is unrivaled. Its standardized test scores are also some of the highest in Jefferson County, in part because of the teacher's willingness to make extra time for students to seek help and better themselves outside of class. However, like anything, it could be improved. While counselors know their students very well, there is not enough encouragement on the faculty's part for students to build a rapport with their counselors early on. Also, while students are encouraged to get involved, there could be a wider variety of clubs and activities available.
