York School District No. 1 Reviews
York Comprehensive High School is a great high school. My experience as a high school student was exciting and meaningful. I had the best teachers any school could offer to their students. The teachers and staff are caring and shows it through their teaching and leadership. The administration team also shows us they really care about us. The principal often quoted as saying that "students don't care about what you know, they want to know that you care". I truly loved my experience at YCHS. The school is also equipped with top notch equipment. There is not one excuse that one can give to state that they couldn't get a quality education at YCHS.
York School District One was my home from 3rd grade all the way to High School Graduation!! It prepared me for my future at Clemson University, while also giving me multiple opportunities to get involved with things such as baseball and the band program! The teachers were outgoing and wanted success to be at the forefront of every day. I also had the pleasure of having Mr. Christopher Black as my principal. An outstanding man to say the least. I am so unbelievably proud to be a York Comprehensive High School Alum!
I hate that they charge you money for literally everything! It's supposed to be a FREE public education. I feel like the administration at the high school shows a lot of favoritism and it really sucks.
