My experience with the York county school district was great. I am currently in college but I attended almost all of elementary school there, all of middle school, and high school there. The teachers were some of the best I have ever known. They are willing to help and love to get to know there students. I especially appreciated the teachers from the arts magnets of School of the Arts in Bruton. The teachers and staff at SOA are of the highest caliber and most genuine teachers you will ever meet. As we used to say they were Soamazing!

Well, I am a student who is schooled at home in the York County school district. Therefore, I can only guess at many of the ratings below but I know many people in the school district who enjoy their high school experience much. So my experience with the schools has been one I've enjoyed getting to know people who go there who say that they enjoy it, however, I have no direct experience there. I can say that because I am in this area I have the opportunity to be dual-enrolled with a local community college and that has certainly been an advantage in my junior and senior years of high school.
I have just graduated and this was my first year in the York County School Division, i recently came from Newport News Public Schools. People in this school were pretty snobbish. People aren't very welcoming to new-comers and it was very hard to get adjusted to the culture shock. Otherwise people were well behaved and it was a very safe school, it just was not a welcoming environment.
