Wyomissing Area School District Reviews
Wyomissing Area School District is an ideal place to learn and prepare for life after. I was a transfer and I was so shocked by how helpful and involved the teachers and staff were. They offer so much if you apply yourself and it really opened some doors for me. Not to mention the school is incredibly diverse both in students but also student activity, everyone would strive for greatness no matter what extra curricular activities they were involved in. Even the majority of the students were very friendly and helpful, those same students were in this district their whole lives, so they must be doing something right! I personally never bought lunch but, oh man, when it was quesadilla day I would go nuts for them!
Wyomissing Area High School is located in a small town in Pennsylvania. Like many small towns, Wyomissing focuses on the small close-knit community of the town surrounding the High School. The close-knit community can become beneficial to a student when looking for an after-school job or community service. The school provides an abundance of opportunities to get involved and succeed academically and socially. The academic rigor of Wyomissing has no rivals in Eastern Pa; leading to a graduating class of intelligent capable students who are also incredibly burnt out. Since the high school is small, everyone is forced to be involved in several activities. The normal student rarely has time to sleep, eat, or relax. The academic culture forces APs, instead of encouraging them, but without the competitive community, there is no drive and opportunity for those with the capability to succeed.
I thoroughly enjoyed my curriculum as I have attended Wyomissing. It is considered to be one of America’s most challenging high schools, so there is always a drive and initiative for students to be the absolute best they can do. We excel in both sports and academics, making Wyomissing students motivated and hard working. The over all atmosphere is very ositive and I hope my children are able to have the same experience I had while attending Wyomissing Area Junior/ Senior Highschool.
