Wylie Independent School District (Abilene) Reviews
The academics are phenomenal! There are so many course options such as agriculture based courses. The sports are very competitive and tend to do very well. All the students are kind and respectful. They all show enormous amounts of school pride!
Wylie is an excellent school for those who are solely focused on being “popular” and not on exceeding later on in life. The academics need improvement and a broader range. Everything offered are the basic necessities to meet state requirements and do not cater to those wanting a high quality, vast education. It is a great community to be in, mostly Christian families, and you definitely feel welcomed by all. The coaches are very involved with the athletes and are great mentors and role models.
Wylie, for the most part, is a very average Texas School. All the funds are funneled into sports and the Football Team reigns supreme in the eyes of the student body and faculty. Not too many options for Fine Arts besides Art, Band, and Choir. A very wealthy school in which most of the students come from upper-class families, with almost no minority students whatsoever.
