Woodward-Granger Community School District Reviews
This is a great school in a great community. The teachers and staff go above and beyond for the students. I have personally experienced their willingness to go the extra mile with both of my children that attend WG. This was shown especially with my oldest child who required special ed, as well as other resources from pre-k through 6th grade. He has improved greatly in his academics, as well as with his social behaviors. I truly believe he wouldn't have come as far without the support from Woodward-Granger School District!
This is a school built in a smaller community. It has very strong athletic programs some of the top are Volleyball and Football. The Education accept has some good teachers very strong in Mathematics and English. We are high up for FFA and all Agricultural classes. Since this is a smaller school so few AP classes but DMACC credit classes are offered allowing students to have a wide variety. This was one of my favorite parts. I could take additional higher educational classes for free through the school. I could also take dual credit English classes to work towards my Gen Ed's. I would like to see stronger foreign language classes. The Elementary and ELC are a very strong program with many teachers who make the kids want to go to school.
Small town, great community. Not that there are no issues. But the issues are quickly handled. The staff is helpful at making sure the students who are interested in college get the needed guidance. And are great at sending the message that what you do in all four years of highscool sets the tone for how getting in to the college of choice is. I feel like the staff is understanding and teaches out if there is a child in need or danger of failing.
