Wood River Rural Schools Reviews
I transferred to Wood River as a junior and it was the best decision I have made. The teachers were all welcoming and the counselor did a great job explaining the school to my parent. Wood River takes pride in their academics. They expect the best out of their students and are willing to do what ever they can to help their students succeed. They also strive on preparing their students for future education. Seniors are required to take a class as a senior that consist of financial readiness, scholarships, practice interviews, college applications, and life skills such as sewing, ironing, cooking, and cleaning.
Wood River has prepared me for the future by challenging with classes as well as giving me leadership opportunities. Wood River High School helps students all over with whatever the course may be. All teachers are willing to help a student to the best of their ability no matter if it’s their subject or not. The staff always has a huge smile on their face. They also ask how your day was or if there is anything they can do to help. The teachers especially are close to each student which I believe is good to offer since high school can be rough for many and sometimes we need that help from an adult. One thing I would ask to change is to add some more in class activities to really keep the kids mind going and relieve stress some students may have.
Connects with students on a 1 on 1 level. Communication is great and everyone has the opportunity to get involved.
