In general, Woburn teachers do their best in aiding students to excel. At Woburn High, sports and academics are equally weighted in importance. In my experience, the teachers at Woburn High are very understanding regarding homework and their students' schedules. Although conflict exists in every school, students remain respectful due to their upbringing in Woburn..
Similarly, the Kennedy Middle School ensures that it’s best and brightest excel without disregarding the less academically inclined.
Additionally, the Altavesta Elementary School is a wonderful place for a child to learn. Even now I remember to say please and thank you due to the lunch ladies and bus drivers reminding us our manners. The teachers knew it was their job to raise us since we spent more time with them than our parents, and I am grateful for that.
Thus, overall the Woburn Public School system is a great place for a child to learn and become a well-mannered, educated individual.

Honestly Woburn public Schools are good for one thing only and that’s education. They have an absolutely horrible mental health program. Half the teachers at Woburn High believe Anxiety is not a real thing. One teacher in specific named Mr.Mawn looked my mom dead in the face and told her he can make accommodations for an illness everyone seems to have now a days. It’s nonsense, a place like Woburn high should have a better mental health program given the funding. The elementary schools are not any better. My brother was getting bullied for years at the linscott elementary school, even after telling the principal and several teachers about it, they wouldn’t file a bullying report... their excuse? They didn’t want it to taint their records. That’s absolutely ridiculous i mean they we’re physically beating my brother after school on school grounds.
I like the way the teachers approach a lesson and if you truly don't understand they'll take the time to explain the lesson and not just fly through it. I wish the schools, especially at the middle school level, communicated better with parents and students to let them know about events happening in the school.
