I went to school here and it wasnt bad I got the average education. However now they are bad. They dont recognize students that are exceptional and challenge them, they also dont help students with disabilities well they just slide them by instead of insuring they get the education they need. They have to many students now to be able to focus on the students that need it. Academics are at the average if you dont have these needs. They dont take care of bullying, they just ignore it, which they did back then also. I switched my child to a different school and his goa has skyrocketed.
Not a too bad school district. Needs to update a lot though. Barely can afford new books, teachers leave all the time and some teachers can be very judgemental. Most students do not like going to school there due to the teachers not being that great the ones that are left there. Very rarely make learning fun and interactive. By the book and mainly focus on test scores only.
Wisconsin Dells is an interesting school district, it is very diverse but extremely small. I have been in the school district for 14 years and there hasn't been much change. 5th grade I had to transfer schools, I was supposed to transfer to Spring Hill, but instead I was bussed to Neenah Creek; keep in mind I live in Baraboo, so if I were to get sick my mother would have to travel 40 minutes to come and pick me up from school. Then 8th grade came, my class was the first one to be moved up to the high school. My experience that year was defiantly one that I would never forget; we were forced to share lockers with someone who was randomly chosen for us and we were assigned to a specific area in the lunchroom where we were not allowed to have contact with the upperclassmen. Throughout my high school career I have had various teachers that I felt weren't driven to be quality teachers. All in all, Wisconsin Dells School District hasn't changed much, but hopefully it will progress someday.
