The teachers and administrators are nice as a rule of thumb. However, we are a very low performance school and I feel the bar is set low to accommodate the students who don't perform as well. College readiness is suspect. I also thing their Special Education department is in need of serious re-vamping. Sports do not a school make!

While being a smaller school out in the desert, WUSD definitely has its ups and downs as a school. The teachers there are more often than not super professional and practice good work ethic. However, there are rotten apples in the mix to which they blame the students rather than trying to better themselves. One instance is a math teacher who would on occasion lose an entire classes' & individual student's homework and have them redo the work just to give them late grades for an error on his part.
I have gone to Winslow my whole life and am not satisfied with my experiences. I feel as though I am not well enough prepared for college. Many of my classes are uninteresting and uneventful, learning is not a top priority to anybody there it seems.
