Thia school is fine just stay out of drama and you will be fine.....................................
There are a lot of opportunities and extra curricular activities. However, most of the building is underfunded.
Winslow Township School District is very diverse from the classroom, to the teachers, and the sport teams. The staff at these schools go above and beyond to make sure kids are on the right track. There are so many after school activities for student to get involved in.
From the time that i was a child, Winslow School district always got a bad reputation. Parents wanted the kids to be moved from that specific district in order to get a better education. I was one of those students who did switch to a choice school before my freshman year. I went back to Winslow halfway through my sophomore year of high school. What my parents and I realized is that Winslow isn't all that bad. It is what you make it. As long as you put in the necessary work while attending their school, you will get out of it what you put in it. The teachers and faculty are absolutely amazing there. they whole heatedly care for their students and what to see them pass. They build connections and relationships with their students that last forever. Winslow Townsip School District is a wonderful institution.
The diversity makes you feel accepted, the teachers are amazing and unforgettable. The education I received throughout the years makes me feel confident about the future.
Coming from a different country my first years of high school were really tough, but the teachers and students in Winslow Township High School help me a lot in the process of adapting myself to a new culture and a new life. Thanks to the teacher help I became more confident and I started to socialize more. The students also help me fell more welcome as they tried their best to understand me and help to improve my English abilities
Many of the teachers were involved with their students. The clubs and activities and sports are also very good. Helps you get to know underclassmen and upperclassmen.
Winslow Township High School is a good experience, the school is quite diverse and they have many opportunities for their students if they apply themselves. They have great teachers, clubs, and sports teams.
It is a very diverse and accepting environment. The teachers are all amazing, and are more than happy to work with you to accomplish your goals. The school spirit is unmatched. However, the guidance department is incredibly unhelpful when it comes to applying to college and college readiness in general. The academics are below par compared to others, and the administration is unforgiving and annoying.
I loved attending Winslow Twp High School and creating all the bonds with my teachers and friends, along with participating in several extra curricular activities. I just wish Winslow focused more on the bigger picture. Administrators are just worried about the wrong things sometimes. They worry more about dress code than the education itself. Even the late policy. I understand students should be held accountable is they do not follow the rules but getting a write up just because you're late to school sounds ridiculous. There should be nothing stopping students from getting their education. People loved going to Winslow but now they feel like its a juvenile detention center. I understand school is about education but students should still get to experience fun activities outside of the academics.
I am in the middle school and can say that you can make good friends with the faculty like the principal she’s pretty chill if your good , although there are a lot of fights and many many kids skip class. There has been numerous racial attacks at this school and when reported the faculty did nothing. When kids get bullied the school does nothing but make you sign this paper and send mails to the kids parent. Our school is great at athletics like the girls basketball team, but academics not so great there are some bright starts but it doesn’t compensate the whole school. There have been a few gun incidents but it was stopped quickly, so I wouldn’t say the school is the best at being safe. The lunch is okey but it’s a school so I don’t really care about that. Our school spirit is really good and you can make some lifelong friends. We are a verrrry diverse school and I honestly love it! Saying this school is the best is a lie, but I wouldn’t exactly call it terrible.
Do not send your child to this school district! Over a year and a half with serious and troubling issues.
During my experience in Winslow Township, in my opinion, has gotten far more strict and disciplinary since grade school. When I got to high school the rules were so brutally enforced it felt as if we were incarcerated in a prison. However the education itself was not too appalling and dreadful. I can't say they properly prepared me for college but they have prepared me for life beyond high school. Things aren't as loathsome as they appear. The staff are the most respectful and helpful people you would ever meet. The food and bathrooms are not completely nauseating. I love how diverse the school is. The teachers genuinely care about you, there are teachers that I consider family to me because they care so much for my well being. Winslow Township may not be the greatest choice if you want your child to get the best education they can receive, but what more are you going to expect from a public but for a safe, family friendly, public school district, Winslow Township isn't all that bad.
This is my final year with the district. I have enjoyed my time here. I’d like to see more structure around the enforcement of teachers updating grades in a timely manner.
I liked how I was able to Persue a field in the arts of my choice and expand on it. I also really enjoyed being able to take more than one elective and having the option to drive to school it have made going to and from school much easier
Honestly its pretty average, for a school district and their teachers are pretty lazy and they don't really teach that well, but there are a few that teach well and I like particually.
My experience was okay. The extra curriculars were great. I've had a few amazing teachers too, however others were absolutely horrid. Keep in mind, I took almost all AP and Honor courses. Also, the school is very strict on stupid rules. There is a uniform, so that people don't come to school looking inappropriate. The school is more so focused on colors. You could come to school in a low cut navy shirt and it's okay. However, if you came to school in a light blue polo they were outraged. They give out a lot of suspensions.
