In this area there is little violence isn't like Rockford. There food is about average not great but okay. Some of their teachers give connections which helps relate to what they are talking about. They have a lot of school and activities in Middle School (soccer, football, track, drama, yearbook committee, etc.). For Middle School they have pride points which are pieces of paper for good behavior to go places(corn maze). After you turn those pride points in you stick stickers on a colored card. At first it starts at 1 pride point per sticker. In Middle School you get electives they are usually limits to band, art, choir.
Until 8th grade when they have band, art, chior,PLTW(Project Lead The Way),wood shop, staff aid (library and office) and you rate them 1-7 everything except wood shop has semester choices. Sometimes you won't get your #1 choices that's why you rate them. There is a yearly field trip in Middle School. Overall I have liked Elementary/Middle

What I love most about Winnebago Schools is how helpful and considerate the teachers are. They always push you to do and be your best. The teachers go out of their way to help students when needed no matter the time of the day. The courses that are available help prepare us for college and any type of degree we want to major in. I think we could do better at having kids more involved with school activities. We are a strong community and having the kids more involved will help them and make our schools grow.
Winnegab is a stereotypical small town school district. There are some teachers who are phenomenal. There are other teaches, though, that you question how they managed to become teachers.

The community itself is very cliquey. If you did not grow up in Winnebago, the parents and their kids will be reluctant to accept you into the community.
