Windsor Locks High School was not the best or the worst. What I like most about this school is the teachers. They are always willing to help their students and take the time to stay after school to help them. They will listen to you with any problems that you have, which I think is very important. Another thing that I like about the school is the freedom that they give seniors. If you meet the requirements, seniors are able to get senior privileges. Senior privileges give seniors the option to either come in late or leave early depending on their schedules. I think that it is nice of the administration to allow seniors this opportunity. One of the things that I do not like about the school is the food. It is not always appetizing and some times, the food is not ready on time so it takes up our lunch time. I think that there should be a better variety of foods to pick from.

During my time at wlhs I met a few very good friends, but I also found that people could be quite petty whether it is a teacher or a student. I also met people who very open towards others and some rather small minded. Wlhs has a variety of experience for each student. The teachers are amazing and become a second family to you. They are always willing to help a student out academically or personally. Wlhs is a tight knit community where everyone knows everyone but still offers privacy. Perhaps not the most motivated group of people but those who want to do well can do well here.
Most of the teachers are very good, and go out of their way to help their students succeed. Like all schools there are pros and cons. Our school tries to be involved and is somewhere I consider myself being safe.
