Guidance counselors were no help at all if anything they made situations worse, including bullying. This school is full of drug addicts and no one is willing to help. Its very difficult to learn anything in any classroom since the teachers have no backbone and can't tell their students to stop disrupting class. They preach college and the real world "readiness" yet dont teach you anything about it or prepare you, and there are more teachers sleeping with students than you think. Its disgusting in so many ways and I would never send my children here.
Good opportunities for AP and ECE classes, as well as options to go to Asnuntuck Community College. A range of different classes are offered for all different subjects, hands on and traditional classes.
Windsor Locks High School was not the best or the worst. What I like most about this school is the teachers. They are always willing to help their students and take the time to stay after school to help them. They will listen to you with any problems that you have, which I think is very important. Another thing that I like about the school is the freedom that they give seniors. If you meet the requirements, seniors are able to get senior privileges. Senior privileges give seniors the option to either come in late or leave early depending on their schedules. I think that it is nice of the administration to allow seniors this opportunity. One of the things that I do not like about the school is the food. It is not always appetizing and some times, the food is not ready on time so it takes up our lunch time. I think that there should be a better variety of foods to pick from.
