I feel that the Windham school district offered a variety of options for coursework. The thing that I feel could change is the mandatory courses of "Cultural Foundations" and "American Studies". These 2 classes needed in freshman and sophomore years combine history and English. They are taught by two teachers and about 50 students at a time. This model was extremely difficult and the workload was not conducive to learning or success for most.
I like how Windham has a great education and is always up to date on the newest and best way to teach children education. Unfortunate, coming from a rich white town, everyone acts so privileged and the students are rude as ever. The teachers act better than all of their students and shun on their IEP students for not being as good as the rest of the kids. If you arent smart, white, or rich, Windham is a terrible place for you. Not to mention the high horse SAU administrators that only care about themselves and being the best school district, instead of caring about children's education.
I really like the Windham school district. I like all the involvement that kids have whether it’s doing CTE at Salem or being involved different ways in the classroom. I also think that our sports are really good and kids have a lot of opportunities to do what they want.
