I attended both Mt. Juliet Middle School and Mt. Juliet High School. I feel that both schools have a pretty safe environment, and faculty and staff are all very competent. The only thing I'd like to see changed is the strict dress code (mainly in the high school). I have never been dress-coded, but some of the things a lot of my past classmates got dress-coded for was a little ridiculous. Wearing outfits that show one's shoulders or expose a little "too much" thigh area are not all that distracting. Plus, a student having to go to ISS because they didn't realize the mostly modest outfit they were wearing wasn't in line with dress code is much more distracting to their learning experience than their clothing would have been to themselves, or to others.

Part of the reason why I've been successful in my undergraduate studies stems from the teachers in the Wilson County School district. Throughout elementary, middle, and high school in this district, I was always made to feel like an individual rather than just a number. This district prepares their students adequately for life after high school, and often provides its students with many choices in an effort to keep them engaged and learning. Teachers in this district come from a variety of places and offer a refreshing point of few on a number of different subjects.
I have been in the Wilson County District for all of my time in school, and throughout the years they have grown so much. They have grown in the safety for all the students and staff, also they have helped students get ready for the adult/college life and prepared us well for it. Wilson Central has so many club and sports open to all students and offers for students to start their own club. Also we have great teachers and administration in all schools but especially at Wilson Central High School. So Wilson County is an amazing district for kids to go to and learn and have fun.
