Wilmington schools may not be on your "Top Schools" lists, but its the best education you can get for your child. Those lists are compiled by standardized test scores, which Wilmington does not focus on. Instead, Wilmington focuses on individualized education. Every student learns differently and the teachers tailor their lessons accordingly. That's my favorite part of having my child at Wilmington! To top it off, they have the best music programs in the area as well as Agriculture and technology education!

It is a very nice small town school, with great musical programs I'm involved in all of them and they are a lot of fun! Teachers are polite. The only problem I do have with this school is the overuse of electronics, though, that may work well for some people.
The school district is small but that doesn't mean that students can't succeed and take advantage of opportunities. I was involved in sports, music and science competitions during my time here and I can honestly say that the facilities and resources are great, especially because Westminster college is so close. Because of my special interest in science, I can say that especially the science faculty are passionate and knowledgeable about their subjects, I had some of my favorite teachers ever from the science faculty at Wilmington High School.
