Willoughby Eastlake school district is a mixture of many different people coming from many different places. It's very easy to meet people like you. It is conveniently placed right in the middle of the city so that more students gravitate toward it. Along with the extensive list of elementary, middle, and high schools, there are also a convenient amount of colleges surrounding. The district heavily recommends participating in dual enrollment programs through these colleges, for college credit. This program gives students a taste of how college works, while also keeping their workload at a manageable amount. This program makes the district far better than any other. They truly want their students to succeed and save money when it comes to pursuing their careers. Teachers and department heads are always looking out for the students and making sure their path is set.

I enjoyed and am very fond of my elementary through high school experience and extremely grateful for all my wonderful teachers who have gotten me to where I am today. Willoughby-Eastlake Schools have some of the best teachers who really care about their students and provide excellence in education. I am a senior this 2019-2020 school year and still talk with past middle school teachers and get recommendation letters because of the great relationships built throughout the years. Willoughby- Eastlake Schools District is definitely the place parents want to send their students because of the wonderful dynamic of excellence in learning, engaging extracurricular clubs and activities, and amazing high school sports programs.
I have attended Willoughby South for about for years. I have seen and experienced both the old and new buildings. Before the new building, South had older facilities and technology but most of the teachers are passionate about teaching. A few don't care and make their classes too easy but if you try you will still learn. The construction project took longer than expected and underdelivered. Many students complain about the new building being more flashy than useful. This year the levy didn't pass which means that extracurriculars and most sports will be cut. Busing and college credit/ career prep programs are also expected to be cut.
