I've overall had a pretty good high school experience at Valencia High School. While the social culture there and the campus itself haven't been the nicest, I've had some really great teachers and they have a wide variety of classes, including many options for honors or advanced placement. They also have a fantastic choir program, which I've been in for four years. Their advanced, competitive jazz choirs are also very professional and impressive. I've had the opportunity to work with the choir director, who's a wonderful and encouraging lady that I've been lucky to have as my director. I've also enjoyed my AP teachers and their classes, and I feel like I've really learned a lot and grown during my time here.
William S. Hart Union School District strives to educate at the highest caliber. The teachers work incredibly hard on a daily basis to go above and beyond to reach out to students of varying abilities. Additionally, they strive to put diversity at the forefront of their goals in their schools. Our schools have teachers, students, and staff from a wide variety of backgrounds to enrich the educational experience.
Our students leave the district and the statistics prove in record numbers, that the vast majority of them "graduate" to higher education or vocational training. They have worked diligently to use their program called "Career Pathways" to help students prepare for their futures while they are still in high school.
As a student who is in his fourth year of band, it has been an amazing experience. Band allows me to learn more musically as well as develop my leadership skills as the drum major.

I am currently enrolled and enjoying it here in Valencia High school in the William S. Hart Union High School District as a junior and am a female. I like the culture and how the school offers many academic opportunities, especially because it works with the College of the Canyons, letting high school students take their courses and gives us students academic opportunities. I also like the sports here. We have rallies and students watch their friends and classmates play. The football games are very fun with the music and lots of cheering, with a bunch of school spirit. The district has many resources to turn to for our mental health, for example Text a Tip, and the Mental Wellness Center here on the Valencia High School campus, which is helpful during this stressful pandemic. The district has been doing well conforming to a difficult time. I am happy to be going here and this district is a wonderful learning environment.
