Wichita Falls Independent School district feels like a community. I grew up in the area and went to several schools in the district. I started at a school in a low income area, but the teachers were amazing and provided us with many educational opportunities and programs. In middle school I was involved in choir and moved onto an advanced choir in high school. At Zundy Junior High I worked hard to prepare myself for high school and received both English and Speech awards. I played softball and did community service through a group called “PALS.” Wichita Falls High School provided dual credit and AP courses to assure college readiness.

Wichita Falls High School is very ethnically diverse, with many diffrent economic backgrounds as well. In my four years as a transfer student I’ve made so many different friends who all support each other and myself. Though there are nearly 350 students per grade, it has a small feeling atmosphere. Once a ‘yote, always a ‘yote!
I love the opportunities that students are given. We have the Career Education Center that students go to continue their endorsement. Depending on which endorsement track you choose, you may graduate with a license. This also gives students an opportunity to really see if they know what career they want to choose.
